Simple Weightloss - How to Beat Food Cravings

All people experience food cravings. And exactly what is a yearning? Well a yearning is an awful desire for a particular kind of food, generally to satisfy one's palate, not simply to satisfy appetite. You may find your day-to-day or weekly craving is felt for sweet sweets like candy, or chocolate. For others it may be a yearning for fatty potato chips or an extra glass of beer.

If you are tired or feel depressed your body's natural reason for this is low levels of blood glucose. In action your brain signals that it requires something to raise your blood sugar levels. This extremely natural pattern is at the base of your craving for sugar or carbs. In addition, another chemical reaction that causes your cravings involves Serotonin, our bodies' feel-good hormonal agent. When your body has a low level of Serotonin it attempts to compensate by forcing you to consume sugar or carbohydrates to raise blood sugar level and Serotonin levels.

But carbohydrates (such as sugar) only release a short burst of serotonin, quickly fading after being ingested and digested; when Serotonin levels and blood glucose levels fall back down, the craving returns.

But, there is another major reason beating your cravings is so difficult (and why they appear in the first place)!

Adrenal Tiredness

If you are stressed, not received a relaxing night sleep, or are just plain tired for no specific reason you are probably suffering from adrenal fatigue.

Adrenal Fatigue, much like the process outlined above, includes your body sending out a signal to the brain for a pick-me-up which is your yearning for sugar or carbohydrate snacks, or may be, coffee during the day; during the night you might try to find alcohol or carbs. All of this only makes the problem worse.

Beating the craving

If you value the standard factors for the craving, then beating the food craving can be done. It might take a little time but it can be done. To break food yearnings, the body needs healthy foods, additional dietary supplements sometimes; this read more and moderate exercise can help curb yearnings.
